Drawing Class for Kids (Online)

Does your child like to draw? Nurture their creativity through our free Virtual Drawing Class for Kids. Give your child a fun and interactive group experience, led by our engaging art instructor, Saba, and all from the comfort of your own home!

The Newcomer Learning Club! (Online)

The Learning Club is a free online program for newcomer elementary students in Grades 2–7 who may need additional learning support. This program provides assistance with fun literacy activities and academic support to help children reach their full potential (in education and life). Foundations of Leadership for Grade 8-9 (In-person & Online)

Foundations provides youth the opportunity to learn about leadership while exploring ways to turn life into an adventure, as part of a team. It aims to support youth in their journey of self-discovery and belonging, teach them how to engage in their community, and become an everyday hero. We will create a safe space for youth to grow their skills, identify and develop strengths, all while being supported in expressing themselves. Not to mention, fun activities, and snacks. Future Leaders for Grade 10-12 (In-person & Online)

Future Leaders is the next step in becoming an ambassador in your community! By exploring personal, social and global responsibility, we aim to support you in discovering and developing meaningful opportunities for community engagement and volunteering. What talents, skills and passions do you have that you can bring to your community? What kind of change do you want to bring to the world? This program is also a way for you to complete the required ‘Career Prep’ hours for High School graduation. Cooking with Frantiska (Online)

Join us for a fun and hands-on cooking class led by the highly experienced and passionate cook, Frantiska Cignerova. In this class you will learn to cook some simple but delicious dishes, get useful tips and make new friends.

These Thursday sessions starting at 10 am, from April 1st, will be for everyone! You can get the whole family involved, and all skill levels are welcome! We will have new recipes each session.

Recipes will be planned based on ingredients we distribute at our North Food Hub each week. You are welcome to pick up the ingredients on Tuesdays from 11 am to 4 pm and prepare ingredients prior to the Thursday class. You will receive an email with the ingredients, equipment and anything else you might need to prepare for a great session with us! See poster for more info.

These gentle movement routines can add to anyone’s repertoire for health, stress management and fitness. Yoga (Online)

Join us for our yoga class (beginner) via Zoom. Certified Yoga teacher, Mayra Chavez, will practice Pranayama, Asanas and Meditation. Seniors Group Chat (Online)

The coronavirus is changing how we live our everyday lives. Being inside the house may be difficult for some people who are used to going out to meet their friends or being active outdoors. With many places closed and some events called off for the unforeseeable future, it also highlights how much we all need social connection. That is why we’re doing the best we can to help seniors stay connected.

Please join us for a virtual group chat via Zoom to meet new friends and help keep the mind active! This chat room can serve as a portal to meet new people, share interests and remain social. Each week we introduce a different topic including “COVID19 Vaccine Info“, “Privacy and security on the Internet“, “Amazing way to travel from inside your home“, “Social Media“, “Genres of Music“, “A Walk through Time" and more.

Mother Goose Program (Online)

A fun group experience that introduces parents and their babies & toddlers (aged two and under) to the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together. Parents and caregivers gain skills and confidence that enable them to create positive family patterns during their children’s crucial early years. Family Place (Online)

Families will have the opportunity to connect with and support each other in our community. With the same nursery rhymes, story time and a wide variety of kid activities that support your child development, our goal is to make our families feel like they’re right back at our Family Drop-In – but in the comforts of your own home!
