How to Support Seniors Hampers?

Purchase Gift Cards for the Seniors Holiday Hampers
This year we are moving away from one-on-one sponsorships to support the growing number of vulnerable seniors in Burnaby. We invite donors to purchase gift cards for seniors living in poverty.

Why gift cards? Last year, we heard from seniors that they are struggling to afford groceries and other necessities. We also heard about the importance of seniors being able to indicate their preferences for the type of hamper they would like to receive. See details and application form for details.

Host an Angel Toy Drive for children and youth. Companies or community groups can sign up to host a toy drive that collects toys for distribution to children and youth from low-income families at our Toy Room at the Metropolis at Metrotown.

We may be able to provide resources to help increase participation for your Toy Drive. This includes:

  • Wishlist of toys
  • Volunteers to help pick up toys
  • A Burnaby Christmas Bureau representative to speak to your staff or community group
  • Promotion on our website and social media @bbyservices

See [Details and Application Form].
