A Neighbourhood House is a volunteer driven community based social service agency that provides programs and services in response to identified community needs. It is a place in the community that provides a warm and welcoming environment for people young and old from diverse backgrounds. Neighbourhood Houses are worldwide and have been in the Lower Mainland for over 100 years. Neighbourhood Houses are very popular in Vancouver where ten well-established houses are meeting the needs of their communities.

The Burnaby Neighbourhood is the first Neighbourhood House to be Established in Burnaby.

Our mission is to make our neighbourhood a better place to live.

Our goal is to enable people to enhance their lives and strengthen their community.

Our challenge is to work with our community to develop innovative programs and services that meet the changing needs of a diverse population.

since I do not often travel in that direction I just noticed the imperial location is no longer in existence. Has it moved to another location or is it gone? my spouse and I participated in the annual tax filing services the house offered for a modest fee to lower income Burnaby residences. Are any of the other Burnaby houses offering the same services in the coming new year?

Hello; I have been a Burnaby resident, and still am, for a long time. I find my self in the situation of having to move from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment. I have couches, desks, TV (52″) wall unit that I can’t take with me. Am, really, looking to donate this to a needy person/family. Would appreciate any feedback/help with this. Thank you. David Reid

Hello,
I wonder whether you have a neighborhood Law clinic–Pro Bono legal service. If so, please reply this message and inform how to make an appointment with them.

Thank you,

Yushan Chen
